Need help with math homework?

What does "x" equal anyway, and why is there a letter in my math problem? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck, could chuck wood? If you find yourself asking questions such as these, you have come to the right place. The resources below should get you started on finding out what is "x" (although, I doubt they'll be able to help you with the woodchuck question).

Math Tutorial Center

The Center provides UT students with free help on math assignments for courses within and outside the Math Department. The staff can help you with most 100 or 200 level math courses. Please make sure to come to the Center with questions about your assignment because the Center is not a study lounge. Also, the Center's staff are not geniuses but will try to help you to the best of their abilities. Finally, remember that the Center is busiest between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, so when you come for some help, you may have to wait a little while.

Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) offers free, out of class, study sessions for traditionally difficult courses. Sessions are led by students who have successfully completed the course. Dr. Math

Dr. Math is a question and answer forum for anyone who needs a little extra help with math. When you visit the website, you can either search the archive to see if your question has already been answered or write to Dr. Math with a new one. Please remember that Dr. Math is a free service so you may not get an immediate answer to your question.
