Academic Appeals
Course Withdrawal Appeals
If you fail to attend the first class meeting of a course without prior arrangements with the department concerned, you may lose your space in class to another student. Failure to attend a course is not an official withdrawal and will result in the assignment of an F grade. You should not assume that you will be officially dropped from the class. It is always your responsibility to drop courses you do not plan to attend, which your professor has told you he/she will drop for you, or for which you have been told to drop. See key semester dates here.
Current Semester
Are you requesting withdrawal from
some of your courses or
all of your courses?
- Drop using Circle Park Online during the withdrawal period (1ST through 63rd day of fall or spring)
- During WP/WF period (64th through 84th day of fall or spring) use course withdrawal form (requires instructor signature) and submit to the Office of the University Registrar
- If after 84th day, individual course withdrawals are not possible. If you would like to discuss your situation, please call or visit the Student Success Center.
- First submit the withdraw from university form by the last day of classes at the Office of the University Registrar
- Then apply for readmission (if desired) to the university
- If you are on financial aid, your awards will be canceled for the following term. To possibly regain those awards, you must appeal through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for more information.
