On Academic Review/PAD? What next?

First, contact your advisor. He or she is your best and most valuable resource for information. Most colleges operate a special advising program for students on academic review; this can help you get back into good academic standing.

With your advisor, you will develop a plan to return to good academic standing. Your advisor can help you clarify your goals, objectives, interests, abilities and more to ensure that you are on the right track. Plus, there are many resources and services on campus to assist you in your pursuit of academic success!

Each college has trained faculty and staff advisors to guide you along the process of academic review. It is your responsibility to contact an advisor. Communication is key!

If you do not earn a semester GPA of 2.0 or above while on academic review pending academic dismissal, you may be released from your college and dismissed from the University.

For more information, please visit the Registrar's page on Academic Review.

Scholarship Information

Do you have scholarships, such as the HOPE/TELS Scholarship? If you are on academic review, you are at risk of losing your scholarship. It is important for you to talk to your academic advisor as soon as possible to figure out a plan to bring up your GPA and get off academic review. It is also important for you to touch base with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to find out what requirements are necessary for your particular scholarship.
